Minimalist 3-step Natural Make up Look: Because an extra 15 min. of sleep is bliss

April 5, 2017

Being a stay at home Mom means that I rarely get the chance to put my makeup on and when I do I’m usually rushed to get myself and a toddler ready (FAST). I have perfected a minimalistic approach to makeup over the years so I can get myself out the door as quickly as possible, and have found the perfect products to achieve the look. I used very few products (using some as multi-purpose, win!) which translates into less time consuming face painting and a quicker door exit strategy! Plus, your makeup bag won’t be packed full if you’re bringing it with you on the go.

This may not be the most glamorous look and when time allows, I really do love to play with different products and colours. This is a minimalist approach to makeup for all the busy Women out there who could use the extra time whether it be wrangling our children while trying to get their boots and coats on  (the struggle is real ladies), or just plan wanting some extra shut eye in the morning (the latter statement likely won’t apply to any Mothers out there, because.. Sleep?).

So here we go, only 3 all natural beauty products using 3 of my absolute favourite vegan MOTD makeup brushes:

Face: Fitglow beauty Vita Active Foundation in colour VF2 – Using- MOTD cosmetics brush: ‘Beauty and the Base’ (Perfectly timed name for the newly released flick that I must. see. soon.)

Eyes: Fitglow beauty blush/bronzer in Sculpt -Using- MOTD cosmetics brush: ‘Miss Shady Lady’ (See a trend here? Fitglow & MOTD brushes are LIFE. Sculpt is the perfect tone of brown to add some oomph to your eyes giving the impression that you’re actually awake even if you haven’t had that cup of coffee yet).

Eyebrows: Fitglow beauty blush/bronzer in Sculpt -Using- MOTD cosmetics brush: ‘Just browsing’ to fill and shape sparse brows. Making sure your brows are well maintained is a very important part of your makeup routine as the shape of your brows help frame your face.

Cheeks: Fitglow beauty blush/bronzer in Sculpt -Using- MOTD cosmetics brush: ‘Supermodel Sculpt’ (Yes, Sculpt is my ultimate multitasker when it comes to makeup. The tone is perfect for eyes, contouring, a little dab to the apples of the cheeks to give some life to my skin).

Mascara: Hynt beauty Nocturnal Mascara. This is one of a few natural mascaras that actually make my list. I am a stickler for full and volumes lashes and I won’t use anything that delivers less. I do find that I need to curl my lashes using this formula to fan them out pre-mascara wand).

There you have it Ladies! My quick yet effective 3 product make up look using all natural make up and the most gorgeous MOTD makeup brushes around. Here’s where you can purchase your own set of brushes and feel free to use code ‘BLOOM’ to get 10% off your purchase with MOTD Cosmetics HERE or from product names listed below.

Tip: You can purchase MOTD Cosmetics makeup brushes individually but it’s most cost effective to buy them as a set. MOTD has created four different sets to choose from to build your brush collection:
