Travel Essentials: Top Must-Haves When Travelling

There’s no doubt in my mind, if I had my dream life, I would travel 24/7. The growth I’ve experienced and lessons I’ve learned while travelling to different countries and witnessing different cultures has been monumental. I have every intention of seeing more and more the older I get. So far on my bucket list I’ve got a few places lined up: Peru to see Machu Pichu, Ireland to see the green landscapes and historic stoney walls, Cambodia to see the ancient temples.. I could go on. One thing is for sure, anytime I am travelling to another land I make sure I bring along some key essentials. I decided to write up a list for them here with some of my latest picks (Affiliated).

 

Travelling Must-Haves

Passport/Document Holder

This is one VERY important item to consider. Concealing your important documents like passport, credit cards, flight passes, itineraries and keeping them close to you at all times is so important. I found this wristlet envelope clutch made specifically to hold your important travelling items so imperative. It is smaller in size, it isn’t easy to ‘pick pocket’ as its not a bag with a wide mouth opening, and it doesn’t necessarily look like a passport holder. You can also toss it inside a zippable handbag thanks to its compact size. Found in Robins egg blue and Blush pink.

Universal Travel Adapter

When travelling to different countries, you’ll find a whole bunch of different types of power outlets. Many countries do not share the same power outlets as we do here in America. So, instead of buying a new adapter for each country, you should invest in a reliable ‘Universal’ Travel Adapter that can be used in many different countries. This adapter that I found is usable in 150 different countries, and has a USB connection at the side for charging items like cell phones or tablets.

Waterproof Cell Phone Case

Whether you’re travelling around bodies of water or not, across the pond is the last place you’ll want to drop your cell phone in a puddle. Placing your phone in a waterproof pouch such as the ones I’ve picked out below is protective and ensures you won’t lose your method of contact to back home. Hard Case Travel Luggage

Obviously you need luggage to travel but one thing Ive learned is it is ideal to have a hard case version. This will help you avoid your parcels being smoothed underneath heavier luggage on the plane, etc. There are many versions of hard case luggage but when I locked eyes with this faux leather vintage inspired luggage I had to share.  Here are my favourite colour choices. They can be used as a rolling bag while walking through airports, or as regular carried luggage when turned on its side. Comfortable Footwear

This one is sort of a given, but you’d be surprised how many people I’ve travelled with have complained over sore feet. Whether its for running through the airports and sitting on long flights, or for walking and hiking around your destination, you need comfortable shoes! I’ve been the person to toss my jewelry into ziplock bags and travel. I started realizing that this was creating havoc, as earrings would poke holes in the bag and go missing and necklaces would tangle. Portable Cell Phone/Tablet Charger

Chances are that if you’re out and about in a foreign country, it isn’t going to be that easy to charge a dead phone. Thats why I recently learned about my new best friend, the portable charger. These devices are charged ahead of time and hold a certain amount of charges for your to carry around with you.
